Cosmetic Restoration
Hi everyone,
Could you please suggest which materials should I use to restore aluminium plate? I'm wondering if there is suitable "paint marker pens" to cover scratches. Also I'm planning to use Dremel for aluminium part to make it shiny. Cheers, Fatih |

Re: Cosmetic Restoration
The aluminium is probably anodised and trying to polish it with any abrasive will probably ruin the finish. I would just clean it with a gentle soapy solution and dry. I have used a fine indelible black marker to help disguise minor scratches.
You may have to experiment as some black markers come out looking dark blue. If you don't like the effect you can probably clean off what you have done with meths. But don't get meths on any printed lettering. Mike |
