Hi Howard

Very nice repair, what do you do with all you free time I think the original paint should be left, once it is painted with modern paint it will lose its originality and patina.

I have a Ferguson 205B valve portable waiting for a final bit of work. This has 2 Volt parallel heaters and 120 Volt HT. The power supply is a bit of a problem as the heater current is around 0.5A.

Hello Geoff,

If you look back through this thread you'll see that there was a unanimous vote to repaint the front of this set as the original paint was very poor. It was peeling off and had already been touched up badly around the knobs so I think on this occasion the best option was to repaint it.
