I had one of these units years ago. It had a magnetic cartridge, I think it might have been a Sonotone V100 or something similar. Hope this helps.

The clip mounted on the tonearm shown in the initial photo suggests, as others have said, that the cart was originally ACOS GP104 (medium output stereo ceramic type). No longer available, you may find a used one but a new BSR SC11 or SC12 might be better.
To the OP: Check the speaker wires are not bared or shorting and they are firmly attached to the plugs. Any shorts here will destroy the amp. If all seems well, plug in and test the unit for sound - as suggested, you will be wasting money if the amp is shot.
