Default Revox A77 brake lining removal

Anyone out there got experience of doing this and is there a prescribed method?

Any suggestions would be most welcome, please

Do you mean the friction material on the drum? If so, it's pretty uncommon for this to need replacement. Try a solvent wipe first - acetone, used sparingly, is quite effective.

Yes indeed. This is an early MK1 and the lining has gone completely smooth....

I used acetone when first overhauling but it now takes a while for the reels to stop in FF and FR
