Re: Tandberg TR200 Noise Problem
Something else that must be a clue - originally the fault was only audible when the mono switch was depressed and the amp was operating in full stereo, now it's there regardless of the switch position, other than adjusting the bias and removing components when needed to test them nothing has changed on the amp

Re: Tandberg TR200 Noise Problem
Sorry I forgot to add - the bias current is 2.72ma on each channel.
Thanks, Darren.

Re: Tandberg TR200 Noise Problem
After much blood sweat and tears I finally managed to sort this, with the help of the good old analogue scope I found a leaky 180pf ceramic further up the stream - once replaced she's as sweet as a nut.
Many thanks Dave for taking your time to help me with this, I really appreciate it. Darren.

Re: Tandberg TR200 Noise Problem
Thank you very much! it was a test of my patience to say the least!
It was C513, still a bit of a head scratcher as to why but there you go! Quiet as a mouse now and sounds great Thanks, Darren.
