Default Quad 33 attenuation of output to 303

I am trying to attenuate my 33 output as per Quad instructions and have fitted the 15k ohm resistors to the board as instructed and need to fit x 2 6.8k ohm resistors across the pins on the output socket - pins 1-2 and 2-3 to give a 12db drop. I am only doing this as noticed the volume is a bit sensitive compared to my other 33 both of which have had identical DADA upgrades which is odd in itself.

Space is a bit tight behind the amp boards and whilst i could squeeze in would it be easier to attach the resistors to flying leads which can then be soldered onto the pins of the output socket - page 5 in the link below.

To use fly leads could introduce hum, you are better off attaching them as Quad suggest.

Nimble fingers and my tweezers then . Would i be ok to use 1/4 watt rather than half watt resistors?

As you can see space is tight. The output is just in front of the connector for the amp board.

They would be fine, the only voltage and current passing through these resistors will the at line signal level so you could even go 1/8 watt.

Thanks Graham - that might make the job easier.
