Alexei Leonov 1934/2019
Hope the mods will allow this small piece but Alexei Leonov the first man to walk in space on March 18th 1965 passed away today.
An early adopter of space technology he exited Voskhod 2 on a tether to walk in space. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknew...cid=spartandhp |

Certainly a man to be respected and admired. I saw him interviewed on TV and he came across as very modest and very likeable.

Re: Alexei Leonov 1934/2019
I remember seeing a documentary on the Space Race in the early 1990s, with Leonov being interviewed about the first space walk.
It was potentially very risky, especially depressurising the space suit without getting the bends.
