DeLonghi Fryer pan position?
Hi there,
I must apologise for a topic that, although in the general category of "other domestic electrical" is not vintage - though it is decidedly getting on a bit! I have a DeLonghi F26200 deep fat fryer. Recently some new oil dramatically boiled over, and to clean the unit I had no choice but to completely dismantle it. That is very easy, in fact too easy as it turns out. I did make notes, of course, but upon reassembly they have proved to be not enough! I now know that I should have taken photographs as well. The problem is that the angular position of the aluminium pan in the outer case is critical for correct thermostat operation. I did not see that coming! There is a small triangular marker on the pan rim that I guess should line up with some (unmarked) point on the case so I am hoping that someone on here happens to have the same fryer and can tell me where it points. Even better of course would be a source of the service manual which must include such information. The user manual does not include any service information - not that I would expect it to nowadays, and DeLonghi are totally unhelpful, not even replying to e-mails. That also doesn't surprise me. Naturally appropriate recommendations will be made to friends. I can position it by trial and error, but it would be so much easier (and safer!) to have the proper information. Even if you can't help, thank you for reading through this. Tony Jaques Manchester |
