Can any one tell me what would be a suitable replacement for C1 VOLTAGE ETC PF NF OR UF THANKS

According to the Murphy service manual C1 is across the VHF aerial coils at the front-end of the receiver. It should not need replacing, unless it is physically broken. The manual says 22pF 750v ceramic but I think you could use a lower voltage cap without problems. I'm not sure why they used such a high voltage rating. Jerry
