Bush BS35_142/04094
Hi all, as an amateur i would really appreciate some advice / assistance please.
I've got the radio cleaned out and powered up at last, plenty of filth removed and the tuning cord took some fixing. All tube heaters glowing, some crackiling whilst tuning the set, but no reception on any selector setting. I've read some of the earlier posts, some referring to the caps, some the resistors, but without any drawings or repair manual I'm stuck.. The internet is very useful for research, but i can't find the drawings.. would someone be able to assist please? many thanks Tim |

Hi Tim, welcome to the forum. I suspect your set may be made especially for the Irish market as I can not see it listed in the downloads top right of this page.
If you could post a few pictures inside and outside also the valve line up someone may be able to help. I should add, please do not power up again before changing at least one 50p capacitor. Failure to do so could caused rare and expensive parts to fail in a cascade like event. John.

Re: Bush BS35_142/04094
These are an excellent set with a tuned RF stage so will be plenty sensitive to receive UK Medium wave stations once hooked up to a decent long wire aerial and RF earth. I have two of them here.
I wouldn't power if up again until at least the AF coupling cap has been replaced. A forum search for "That cap" will explain why. Welcome to the forum and good luck with it. |

The circuit for the Bush EBS24 at radiomuseum might have some similarity:
