Repairing FM foil aerials.
I'm restoring a Bush VHF 41. The internal FM aerial which runs around the top of the cabinet has been torn - what would be a suitable replacement? It's a metalised cardboard strip about 2" wide.

Re: BUSH VHF 41 FM aerial
Hi you could try cooking foil and fix it with a spray PVA adhesive.

Re: BUSH VHF 41 FM aerial
I have used an aluminium foil tape for internal aerials on various sets and it appears to work well. This tape is usually highly polished and am sure many other uses could be found for however much is left over.

Re: BUSH VHF 41 FM aerial
Ive found that a little length(about a yard) of wire in one of the vhf aerial prong holes work much better on these sets as a vhf detector!! ianj
