Do you have control characters in your new password? Some systems don`t like them.

Re: Log in won't remember my new password.
I had that problem with my ageing iPad, especially on this particular site for some reason. The solution turned out to be a new iPad.

Is your browser set to remember passwords? It might still be remembering the old password.

Re: Log in won't remember my new password.
If it’s a Windows machine delete the cache entry for this sites password in the browser, if you clear the whole cache make sure you know all your passwords first.
If it’s a Mac check the Keychains entry for the forum. For an iPad/iPhone go to settings/passwords and accounts and check the password for the forum.

In that case, use Frank's tip first, then mine!

Re: Log in won't remember my new password.
You could change the password back to the old one, unless there was a good reason for changing it recently.
