Default PYE FenMan II RM

Hi Folks,

I have a PYE FenMan II RM to look at (the innards from a RadioGram).

On the Service Data site (top right of this Forum) there is listed Data for the FenMan II and the FenMan II RG. I will of course purchase both these but would appreciate any clues/hints as to which one would be best and any tips on what I can expect from anyone who has looked at one of these previously.

Many thanks in advance,

James.

From long and distant memory , the Pye "Fenman" RM was the Radiogram version (RG) of the Radio, but with the additional circuitry for the Record Maker option. Not many of these were made.

Hi James

The RM stands for record maker.

Most of these did not have the additional record maker parts fitted so there should be an 9 pin valve style base fitted to the socket.

The differences between the RG and RM are tiny.

I think I published a snip about the difference eons ago on this forum.

Cheers

Sorry its so low definition I can't find my original scans.

But this is the snip of the differences.

Do you have the RM unit?

Thanks.
No, my friend has just given me the 'innards' to rejuvenate while he does the record player and case.
