Default Who can restore a Teletype model 33

I have a Teletype model 33. It powers on and some keys seem to make an appropriate action, but it needs a complete service.

Anyone have an idea of someone who could do this? For a fee obviously.

thanks.

Restoration of the Model 33 is not a trivial task.

There are no spare parts available for the machine now, other than what appears online from time to time.

Do you really mean restore, or do you mean service and get working - it's an entirely different mindset.

A full nut and bolt stripdown and overhaul of a machine like this is going to take weeks of work and require a number of special tools.

Whereas a quick clean, and relubrication might only take a couple of days.

Knowing your intended application may also mean that the speed of the machine needs to be changed too.

Cheers
Sean

Try Green Keys forum, or the Sam Hallas website, Vintage Computer Forum?

I'm after a quick clean and relubrication, which I hope might bring it nearer to working order.

I mean service and get working.
