R&TVS Index?
Was there ever an index listing the models covered by the R&TVS volumes?
A nearby library keeps a set (1986-87 seems to be the latest). I refer to these occasionally but it can be a time-consuming business searching several volumes, looking for data which may or may not exist. A single index covering all the volumes would make this so much easier. I thought there might be something in one of the later volumes, but couldn't find anything. Can anyone confirm if such an index exists? Thanks Roy |

Re: R&TVS Index?
Hi,
Yes. A cumulative index was produced covering the 52 to 86 volumes. It does not cover the final (86/7) vol. I have a copy of this but cannot find any ISBN. I assume it was given as a freebee with the 85/6 edition. Mick |

Re: R&TVS Index?
I have a fairly comprehensive index of the first 10 years or so here:
www.g1jbg.co.uk/service.htm It's near the bottom of the page, titled "Radio and Television Servicing, 1946 to 1964" I'll add more volumes when I get time (I found that the published index didn't always find things like tuners, that were often listed seperatly from the main diagram). Jim. |

Incidentally, I hadn't realised that the 1986/87 volume was the last produced. This means that my set is complete! |

Re: R&TVS Index?
Many thanks to all for your responses.
Armed with this information, future visits to the library should be much less frustrating. Cheers Roy |
