Default Philco 630

I am repairing USA Philco 630.
The wave trap is open circuit in multiple places. Would the radio work satisfactorily without it or is there an alternative means of replacement

Many thanks. Frank

I have a circuit for the Philco 37-630, perhaps not the same radio, if it is a different one can you post the circuit and identify the wave trap you mean.

If it is just a coil in series with the aerial feed than a link will get it working ,unless more complex than that.

Or is it a frame aerial?

Leave it disconnected, it's a series tuned circuit from the aerial to earth to trap the IF frequency, it should work without it.
