Heathkit HP23A PSU
Does anyone have any info or experience of this HV PSU, please ? It can supply 900V, 300V, Heaters, and -130V.

Re: Heathkit HP23A PSU
I have one. It's meant to be used with the SB/HW series of tube-based ham radio transceivers put out by Heathkit in the 1960s and 1970s. There were several variations made of the HP23 series, with the A probably being the most versatile (offering adjustable bias voltage, switchable secondary B+, and a center-tapped 12.6V winding). Later versions generally lacked one or all of these features. More info can be found here:

Re: Heathkit HP23A PSU
Thanks Graham & Adam for your replies. I've managed to download the circuit diagram. Plus found a site with the 20 page construction Manual pdf. Now need to find an 11 pin connection plug. Regards, David

Re: Heathkit HP23A PSU
You might want to try places which sell parts for Leslie organ speakers, as the later models used a plug like that. Good luck!

Re: Heathkit HP23A PSU
It looks similar to an 11 pin relay base.
I've never noticed plugs, but an old relay may be "adjustable" if so. |

Re: Heathkit HP23A PSU
Thanks Bill for jogging my memory. I think I've an old relay lying in a gash box somewhere. Just hope it didn't get cleared out a year or two back.
