Philips N4308 Noisy Flywheel
Good evening all,
I've had a good search around the site and can find no mention of noisy flywheels, only the cracking of them. I have tried different ways to stop it rubbing which were quite successful but thought better of my tweaks as I didn't want to put strain on the record and play mechanisms. Can anybody offer some advice please, also should there be a thrust bearing fitted as shown in the service manual? Thanking you in advance. |

I don't know the model in question, but, based on almost 50 years of repairing audio equipment, I'd say that, if the manual shows a Thrust bearing, then one should be fitted.
