So this is a two valve amplifier? I assumed it used a metal rectifier and a single valve. What valves are fitted?

Sorry, but I don't understand that question.

This is a picture of the two valves, I have removed the triple can and wax capacitor ready for connecting the replacement caps when they come

Any chance of a picture showing the underside of the chassis? The second valve is probably a UY85 rectifier.

This could be a Portadyne RP10, RP11, RP12 or RP15 all of which use a UY85 and UL84,

Hi All

Well the three individual caps are in place of the original triple can and I have replaced the old wax capacitor with a polyester one. Just got to fit it and turn it on.

Wish me luck!!!

Could be worth dressing the nearer cap further away from the adjacent valve for its thermal happiness.....?
