The "AD75" does, of course, use the later 'CY31' rectifier valve ![]()

Hi again, I now have the AD 75 working but the volume is low but not distorted. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Regards, Dick.

What voltages are you seeing on the anode and screen of V3?

Hi again, The voltage on the anode of CBL 31 (pin 3) is 254 volts, and the screen(pin6) is 260 volts. Hoping the pins are correct. Mains voltage is 235 volts. Hope this is helpful. Dick.

They're not too far off, assuming you're on 240 volts and using a dmm. If the other valves are similar to the service sheet and you've got a good aerial check the speaker, it might be seized by rust.
Have you got a signal generator? Actually, the screen voltage could be a tad higher.

Hi again, just to let ye know that my AD75 is now working very well. I replaced the EF89 and that brought up the volume to very acceptable levels. Thanks again for all your help. Dick.
