Default Beocord 2000 reel to reel

Worked last time I tried it a couple of years ago. Seem to have lost mains cable, collection from Cambridge,
40.

Is that the one that has the bias oscillator frequency ,close to or at 200khz , we had a customer who wanted to record the cricked on LW but when he switched the recorder to record it wiped the station out , Happy days . Mick.

Does not appear to be, the Technical Data in the Beocord 2000 Service Manual lists 100kHz for the erase frequency.

Probably second harmonic ; 2 x 100kHz = 200kHz. Bias frequency is 120kHz in a Revox.

On most tape recorder bias oscillators the fundamental frequency looks very clean and stable when viewed on an oscilloscope, I would say that it would be difficult to see/measure any harmonics without the use of a Spectrum Analyzer.
