Default Bang and Olufsen Beogram 1500 (Type 57xx). Can someone guide me how to fix this?

Bang and Olufsen Beogram 1500 (Type 57xx)

So I’ve been using this on pretty much a daily basis since a very kind member on here sent me a stylus! A couple of weeks into using it I dropped a really heavy box on the floor nearby whilst it was playing and it sped up super fast. Since then, it usually spins really fast when turning it on and you need to give it a few goes before it spins as normal. Don’t know if this is related or coincidence, but turning it off and on at the wall sometimes resolves it. It also reacts to the slightest shock (even just walking past) and speeds up again. I’m clueless when it comes to repairing these but I’ve attached some pictures and if someone could guide me where to look for an issue and/or how to repair, I’d really appreciate it!

That is a d.c. motor and it will have a small pcb attached to it which is a speed control circuit. Sound as if you have a faulty joint on the board.

Is this definitely a Beogram 1500?

Looks more like an 1100/1102/1900/3400.

EDIT: The label confirms you're right, of course...

One of those odd cases where a manufacturer's re-used the same model number?

B&O were a nightmare for this. There are four different Beogram 3000 models, for example!

Yes indeed, you need to investigate the control PCB. It's very common nowadays for the pre-set resistors which set the two speed's to have become oxidised, and intermittent.
There may be also some dry soldering on the board.
