National Panasonic NV-7500
I need some help with this VCR. It is a multi system (PAL, SECAM, NTSC) model from 1981. The first probem I have is that when playing back a PAL tape, the picture is black and white. When I play a SECAM tape the picture has good colour picture. Secondly, this machine looks like it has servo problems with the drum and capstan servo during record mode. When I record a tape on it, the head drum spins too fast and the capstan speed is very unstable. Can someone give me an advice? Maybe I have to recap the power supply and servo/chroma/luminance boards? I have the service manuals for the models NV-7200 and 7800 which are PAL-only machines.

Re: National Panasonic NV-7500
Also depends on the TV it's played into. If that is set to SECAM then a pal output from the VCR will show as B & W. Some VCR's & TV's only work in one system via the VCR aerial output but other systems via a scart or RGB input
