Re: HMV 2312 / Garrard 3000 repair
before you go trying to bend anything back.
if you lift the over arm and move to the right as if you are loading records, you will see a small pin sticking out of the vertical shaft and when you offer the over arm back into the down position that small pin should go through a slot in the tower. (is this happening) because as I look at the second picture in post 5 the record size selector arm appears to be in the wrong position |

Re: HMV 2312 / Garrard 3000 repair
Thanks BRASSBITS, Graham and Lawrence. I have The clip to hold the spindle in place I just had taken it off to lift the turntable platter off and took the picture while it was off!
The over arm definitely needs to be more towards the centre and closer to the spindle, it’s clear when I look at other pictures of Garrard 3000 turntables. Now comes the tricky part of getting it to go towards the centre. It feels very stuck in its ways but it must have been forced to the side so it must have some sort of room for movement! Any methods or tips..? |

f you lift the over arm and move to the right as if you are loading records, you will see a small pin sticking out of the vertical shaft
at this point the small pin should move the record size lever and when you return the over arm it also moves the size selector arm back with it |
