If that’s the mains lead it appears to have been replaced by one with none standard colours.

Use a multimeter to trace the live wire, don’t guess, better still put the correct lead on the radio.

If it’s not the mains lead, more information and photo may help.

The DAC90A should have a reversible mains connector, so might be wise to mark its orientation if you plan on doing anything with the back cover off and dont want the chassis to be live

SET NOT CONNECTED TO MAINS SUPPLY.

Connect a meter on ohms range one lead to chassis the other to each wire in turn. The wire with the LOWEST resistance to earth should be connected to the NEUTRAL pin of the mains plug.

It doesn't matter: as designed they had a reversible power-input connector and would frequently have been connected to unpolarised mains-outlets (including bayonet lightbulb-sockets) so will work 'either way round'.

[Always treat the chassis as live, irrespective of what the supply wiring is doing!]

One of the two DAC90As I have here has a red/yellow mains lead under the black jacket, so could they have left the factory like that?

(Are we talking the plug-in mains lead colours or just the under-chassis wiring colours?)
