Default Identifying old Philips Monitor

HI,
on the off chance that someone might recognise it, here is a picture of an old Philips monitor that I rescued a while ago from a neighbours loft.
I must check but I think it had the option of a BNC or DIN socket input at the rear.

Hi Peter,
is there no Model number anywhere?
I am thinking Viewdata.
Some better photos of the front controls and rear connections may help.

If the type plate is missing, maybe take some pictures from the inside.

One thing is certain...it's not a domestic type especially if it has a BNC socket.

HI,
I couldn't find a model number, but I will take some photos of the internal parts.
I haven't powered up the monitor, so I can't tell what colour the phosphor might be.
( but isn't there a way of shining uv light on it so that the phosphor illuminates ? )

Ah, so it's colour.

Any date codes on the ICs? Looks c.1980 to me.

Those RGB connections are the same as the BBC microcomputer series, which was introduced in 1981 -- so this probably was intended as an alternative to the Microvitec CUB.

Yes, my thought was 'BBC micro' both for the DIN socket and the BNC (which the Beeb used as the composite video output).

Philips, of course, later made monitors for Acorn (the ones for the Archimedes range were slightly modified CM8833s, etc) but I don't recognise this one.

That octagonal surround rings a bell. It might be worth asking over on stardot.org.uk
