Default Philip Larkin's record player?

I was half listening to Radio 3 this morning while getting the children dressed and thought I heard that Larkin's own record player was on display in the exhibition about him currently being held in Hull University.

If that's the case, can anyone tell us what it is, or even better, provide a picture?

Nick.

The curators name and some contact details are on this page if you have no answers on the Forum.

I repaired a Pye black box for the BBC for their documentary return to larkinland. They had his personal record collection and played them on the black box that I restored. He apparently had the exact model that I repaired.

For anyone interested you can watch the documentary here.
I think it's about midway through that you'll find the record player.

Thanks for the replies, everyone.

Tim, so the machine you repaired wasn't the very one which PL had owned?

It wasn't his actual record player although they did play his records on it.

Very interesting. I wonder what became of the real thing then.

I was surprised that nobody at the BBC knew how to repair it actually.

Someone probably did but there wouldn't have been anyone employed in a suitable engineering capacity anywhere convenient to the group making the programme.
