Re: Radio Garden site blocking non UK stations.
This site seems to get around it, possibly because each country (flags on the top) seems to be a different website? : https://internetradiouk.com/

Re: Radio Garden site blocking non UK stations.
I'm interested to know if any other countries are also blocking RG from accessing
overseas content? Or is it just the Uk? Ian |

This only affected TuneIn users in the UK directly, but lots of other aggregators also started geofencing the UK because they were worried about being sued. Obviously this could ultimately result in everybody being geofenced from everybody else, which is why the legal judgment was so crazy. |

Re: Radio Garden site blocking non UK stations.
Radio of the traditional electromagnetic kind completely fails to stop at national boundaries and get its passport stamped. Cross-border reception of material whether copyright or not has been happening for a century. What's happened is that record companies are seizing onto a new opportunity to further restrict things in ways they never could before.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could all behave as if we were all living on the same planet? David

With what is going on around the world at the moment that would appear to be the craziest thought going. One can but think it but some leaders, legal systems and media mouth pieces seem to think differently. I will leave it up to the mods if they wish to close the thread as I have got to the bottom of the why and wherefore and I do not wish to go off on one! Adrian |
