Default 746 Bell Wiring?

Hello,

a while back I disconnected the bell inside my 741 wall phone by removing a blue wire (going to the right hand side of the bell clapper) as I was just using my bell set number 26 for my phone collection. This has changed and now when I have tried connecting it onto T14 the bell won't ring. Any idea why?

Thanks

Ryan

Ryan,

Please post a good, close-up picture of your PCB and its wiring.

BTW, are you using a good quality microfilter, which will provide a ringing signal on the blue wire in the line cord?

I've never had an issue with it before. It was disconnected about two or three weeks back as I was using my bell set No 26 for the main bell. Now since I have my PBX I want to connect it back to it.

I don't have a micro filter since it is connected into my Panasonic branch exchange. I will post a photo later though

The bell coils should be between T4 and T16-19 (the four that are strapped together). You say you've connected it to T14 which is a spare.

I'm sure that's what It was connected to, since that is the only one on the PCB with a screw missing. I will have another look though.

Joe's right of course!

T14 has nothing connected under the PCB - have a look if you don't believe us.

Joe was right ha ha, the screw must have dropped out. works fine mounted on T19.
