Default BVWS HARPENDEN 1st March (this Sunday)

Hello everyone,

Well I cannot believe the time has come around so quickly.
It is Harpenden this coming Sunday
This is also the AGM as well as stalls and the usual Auction.

There are currently 250 items lotted into the auction and the Catalogue has been sent to Paul for the BVWS website when he has time to add it.

It's going to be a busy day with plenty of stalls to pick over and seek those hard to find items.

The BVWS table will be there as usual selling a good selection of high voltage Capacitors etc.

If you have not yet renewed your BVWS membership you can do so by calling the membership Sec. and renewing over the phone. However you will not receive your Bulletin or membership card (being posted tomorrow) so you will need to sort things out at the door in the morning.

See you all there,

Mike...

Hello,

Has the latest bulletin and membership cards been sent out, or as Mike said, they’ll be sent later this week?

I paid last December and the reason I ask I’ve not received a bulletin and a membership card yet.

Just checking.

Regards
Terry.

Hi All,

The Bulletins are out !

Mine arrived this morning so everyone in the UK should receive their Bulletin today or tomorrow at the latest.

This will be the first thing you are expected to receive since the Winter 2014 Bulletin.

See you all at Harpenden. It should be a busy day.

Mike...

Everytime these listings come out, I can't help but read down them and spot the items that push my personal buttons.

I could definitely give a home to a Thorens 125, I've always fancied one, but it's simply too far away.
KW202 and 204 receivers rarely turn up. If anyone's looking for an ATU, i can strongly recommend the KW107. I use its bigger brother the KW109 on the end of an Icom IC7700.

Hi,

I was getting worried my copy had been intercepted by the Anorak Thought Police

Looking forward to Sunday

Mine arrived today - complete with a DVD! Looking forward to watching that then.

Looks to be an excellent read but I had to put it down as I would end up reading it all day and need to get on with things!

Bulletin arrived and an excellent read as always.

Lots of detail still to read

Unfortunately a Family event means I am unable to attend Harpy on this occasion.

Hope all who do attend have a great meet

Cheers

I hope everyone has a fantastic day out on Sunday. I am having to bow out this time since I have been busy sorting out legal matters for my parents so have not had the time to get stock together. Some nice auction lots there.
All the Best,
Neil

Today I received my Bulletin, complete with DVD. There was also a very neat slit (not a tear) near the top of the plastic bag. Were the new membership cards sent out with this Bulletin? Did everybody else get theirs? If so, there is a very disappointed thief out there somewhere who thought he was getting a new credit card, or am I mistaken and jumping to the wrong conclusion? should I now write to the Membership Secretary and request a replacement card?

Yes my card arrived with the bulletin, loose and totally visible to the outside world. You need to contact the membership secretary for a replacement.

Mine arrive today I thought the picture of Gerry On the front was a nice touch, the photo on the back of his now vacant workbench brought a tear to my eye!
looking forward to Harpenden, I need some capacitors.
So what is going to happen to the upstairs of the house now? Is it going to converted into a flat or leased out for some other purpose ?
Rich.

A thought - Is it practical/realistic/cost-effective to stick the membership cards to the rear of the address insert using the same stuff as bank cards use?
