Default Tony Benn.

Anthony Wedgwood-Benn [Viscount Stansgate] has passed over to the other side.

From a historic-radio perspective, he's best [or worst] remembered for being the "Postmaster General" responsible for masterminding the Marine Broadcasting & Offences Act 1967

on 15 August 1967.

Default Re: Tony Benn.

We don't want to get into discussions of Tony Benn's legacy here, as the thread will inevitaby become politically polarised and OT for the forum. The mods have decided to close this thread.

As with all deceased persons, I hope we would all wish that he rests in peace.
