Re: Kenwood R-1000 Receiver.
Carlos yes I took a look at a manual online and see your predicament, but its about how they stack! Its fairly straight forward as they form layer to layer and the screw positions to dial etc should line up quite easily. Then the last part with the grub screw to secure to shaft and fitting of the main dial knob onto the D shaped shaft should self align then job done

Re: Kenwood R-1000 Receiver.
well thanks for the reply, the parts are not all in the exploded view,
when i disassembled the unit( chassis heavely coroded with rust one upper side of the vfo) i set the parts of the analog dial asside with no notes because there was the service manual ,unfortunatly it was less detailled then i was assuming,im not sure if all the parts were still in it, so i think is this way, first the small brass collar, then the spring, the plastic dial and then the allumiumscale on it,and then the brass nut , think something is missing under the brass nut, anyway i get it working somehow , but im sure its not correct. |

Thanks Carlos okay I understand the Dilemma-bit of trial and error I guess unless anyone can come back to you with experience of there layout etc. Have you tried any you tube look ups just incase there may be a video up there somewhere that might help? Or if Kenwood Technical support for help or advice if they have any more det5ail to possibly help?

Try pages 19 and 20 as that looks quite promising |

Re: Kenwood R-1000 Receiver.
yes they cover the front of the dial , not behind the dial, its there were the brass spring is mounted someway, there are two scales a perforated alumnium one and a green plastic one fitted together with a lamp shining to it,, no problem there, its behind this scales nothing is shown of the parts involved

Yes i know what you mean on that point - so its a trial and error thing and once you've found the way just note it down for the future one way or another that's really the way forward at this stage unless as I mentioned before another member who may have worked on one previously might be able to advise on the washers etc

Re: Kenwood R-1000 Receiver.
If you look here on YouTube...."Trio R1000 repair Part 2" and on to part 3, he takes a R1000 apart including taking off the front panel. Although it doesn't specifically look at your tuning knob it may give you a few clues.
