Hi,

Thanks for your comments. A few more pics added:-
PAM 800 802, MARCONI VT159, PYE SP17 SP17 LOWBOY CW21, KB KV017/117 and under RADIO RENTALS in "Renting the sets" a BAIRD 661.

HAMISHBOXER , The PYE 9" with a VT4 style cabinet is a VO9. Thanks for the offer of the pic. I'm not sure how many more the website company will allow me to put on. I have some more . E maiil me the pic if you want, maybe I could start a page of "OTHER PEOPLES SETS" or send me scans of sales brochures. Any views on this? Can't promise anything at present.

All the best,

Des.

Hi,
I added some pics of the insides of some of my tv's. These are all the sets in Gallery No 1. Also in Gallery No 2 the battery for the Ferguson transister tv from the early 60's.

All the best, Des.

It's a real shame the tube on that Sobell is broken. I thought it was, looking at the photo of the front, before you added the ones of the insides of the sets. I wonder what the chances are of getting a replacement?

Are any of these sets working?

Hi,

Yes, its unfortunate about the Sobell tube. None of the sets have been powered up for a few years. From Memory the ones that worked ok were the Pye V210/A, GEC BT303, Baird 19", Ekco 19" dual standard, HMV 1910, Ekco TMB272, Pye VT4 and the Bush TV22.

Some obviously needed some work, The Pye V210/A required a replacement EHT rectifier, a tuner valve and I think another valve plus a few caps changing in the frame timebase. Also a new HT rectifier. The GEC BT303 only required a repair to the o/c mains dropper. The Baird 19" and HMV 1910 nothing. With the EKCO d/s theres was a severe lack of height and uncontrollable brightness which had to be sorted. The Ekco TMB272 only needed a cap or two in the frame timebase. The Bush TV22 had I think a complete cap change by a fellow tv collector. The Pye VT4 needed a replacement LOPT. Oh and the way, the Pye music box works.

All the best, Des.
