Default VCR97 625 line monitor.

Hi I built a monitor a few years ago using a dvd player as the baseband source to feed it,the output from this is positive modulation/negative sync. This of course is inverted after going through the video amp thus meaning I used cathode modulation of the vcr97.This was ok but I would like to use the more usual grid modulation.I tried a two stage video amp this wasnt very good i found i lost a lot of the bandwidth.Does anyone know a circuit suitable for this. I wonder if anyone else has built a monitor for 625 lines. Cheers Graham.
