Great work Mark. A genuine success story and a very interesting one too.

Mark & Guys, my current quest for info on an "Air Ministry Oscilloscope Type 11" revealed a link to the RAF Radio Altimeter - AYF. An AM Oscilloscope Type 7 was also linked to AYF. A Type 7 is a Cossor 339 ! I never knew that.

Regards, David

The work continues..... the 343 is just about done. Reading the manual it originally came with the "Cossor 393 Dummy Aerial" which one needs for aligning RF sections. Does anyone have one or knows what was inside it so that I can replicate it?

Thanks. Mark

Thanks Karl - these are the first pictures that I have seen of one. Any more details from anyone would be much appreciated.

Mark, This is my wee load, I think, after a search. They were in a tubular paxolin encapsulation back in 1939.
Do you have the 343 Manual ? There are pictures(not very clear ones) of the different leads etc. on pages 7,8 & 9 .

David. Thanks, I have the manual - it is a little vague on the circuit for the dummy load - what did you put inside your box?
