Default Dual 5.25 disk drives for S-100 computers.

I built a dual disk drive unit with 5.25" floppy disk drives and Mike Douglas's virtual sector generator. This allows soft sector end media to be used, these floppys are much more common than the older hard sectored disks.

I built a second one, but this time I took the time to document the details of the enclosure, the dimensions, the wiring and earthing arrangements.

Since the unit is mains powered, the fusing, mains wiring, insulation and earthing has to be impeccable because as noted in the article, anything you make falls into the hands of others later, almost for sure, if you have made anything that is worth keeping.
