Default Decca TPW 70 Loudspeaker

Hi
I Bought a Decca TPW 70 a couple of years ago which was a bit of a basket case, which despite my limited knowledge i have after replacing many parts and my first realigment it now works rather well. But i have one remaining problem which is the speaker sounds like a tin can .The cone was damaged when i got the radio despite repairs no improvement was made. If i connect a spare speaker to the radio it sounds fine.My problem is none of my spares will fit.I need an eliptical speaker the dimensions being 5 3/8 by 2 3/4 inches. There is no screws or nuts on the back of the magnet.I have searched the internet for a replacement with no luck can anyone help, with a spare or know where i can get one?

Default Re: Decca TPW 70 Loudspeaker

As well as the dimensions of the speaker the impedance of the speech coil is important.

The TPW70 uses a 25 ohm speaker.
