Default Grundig Yacht Boy 210N - Scale lamp query

How great a sin is it considered to replace a broken scale lamp with a white LED?

I'd do it if I had the set apart but would try and find a warm white LED to make it look more authentic.

Why don't you just buy one? They are easily available and cost around 8 Euros for 2off inc.

There's nothing wrong with doing an LED conversion if you're not trying to do a museum grade restoration. Most white ones will look wrong (even 'warm white') and yellow is a better choice.
