Tandberg 64x main filter capacitors access
Hi - wondering if anyone knows any good ways to access the two main multi-section capacitors in a Tandberg 64x tape recorder?

No experience of this so cannot advise.
Looking at the schematic I assume you mean the two electrolytic triple can capacitors for the power supply, namely C5/C6/C17 (20uF/40uF/10uF at 350 volts) & C7/C8/C11 (20uF/10uF/40uF at 350 volts). I see there also is a double capacitor C9/C12 (1,000uF/1,000uF at 35 volts) for the power supply (DC heaters etc) but maybe not a can capacitor. David |

Yes, those 3. the 1000/1000 is relatively accessible, the other two are sandwiched between the top plate of the chassis and the PCBs below.
I'll work out how to do it - just thought someone else may have already done this and could advise. Quote:
