Help to identify GEC telephone
Purchased today as I love the look and feel. Hoping someone may be able to tell me more. No information from vendor other than owned for many years.
Many thanks Kneale |

Have a look here:
https://www.britishtelephones.com/ad...admiralty1.htm The "AP" designation is for "Admiralty Pattern" so presumably it came from some vessel or shore-station.

Ship's telephone, made for the Admiralty

Re: Help to identify GEC telephone
Brilliant - many thanks for the information. Didn’t think Admiralty Pattern. I’ll get round to looking inside at some stage. Just liked the chrome and black Bakelite. Added to the collection.

Re: Help to identify GEC telephone
It’s a shame it’s missing the clip to hold the handset on. It’s otherwise in exceptional condition. I’ll keep my eyes open for a scrapper with the clip.
