The W01G would provide a compact encapsulated inexpensive and reliable bridge rectifier, so I would say yes.

You could also use modern double diode rectifiers (x 2), single rectifier diodes (x 4) or another encapsulated bridge rectifier of different type.

All fixed after fitting a replacement W01G bridge rectifier. Everything works fine now with the correct voltage. Thanks for all the advice.
