Garrard type A complete cycle
The information on this forum is very helpful as regards the idler wheel, platter removal and motor problems, thanks to all contributors, you have made my Type A restoration a sight easier. After dismantling a few times I find the arm does not move on to the record at first go, it drops back down onto the rest, I also sometimes get the infamous arm 'skating across' the record
By starting the platter with the Start On/Off button instead of the Start/Reject button, then moving the arm to the centre of the record to reject, the arm then drops on to the record as it should. Does anyone know which levers or area I should be looking at? regards Joe Last edited by smokinseosamh; 2nd Apr 2019 at 9:28 pm. |
