Default BSR TT mats

Hi, I have just bought a Dansette Conquest Auto fitted with a BSR UA14 to repair and restore as an after school project. However it doesn't have a mat, and I don't have enough money to cover me for delivery, rexine covering and a UA14 mat. I have seen an ad on eBay for a BSR UA25 mat, which I was wondering if I could temporarily use this mat until I have enough for a proper UA14 mat.

Thanks.

Yes. you can use this as the turntables are similar in size. There may be rubber studs on the underside which may not locate.

Early UA25s used the same turntable mat as the UA14, so yes, this mat will not only fit, it will be authentic.

I have found another one, which is cheaper. Much cheaper but im not sure which deck it was taken from, I asked but seller didn't know themselves. He sent me this to help me, but I don't have my Dansette yet, so I cannot measure it myself.

Maybe someone here will know or could possibly measure and check for me?

Thanks

That looks like it might be from a BSR C109. If it is, I don't think it'll fit a UA14.

Regards,
Paul

Dear INH: Please do not take any offence as none is intended, but many of your recent Posts are referring to products or projects that you that you plan to undertake or are still pondering. It helps us so much more to give you practical support when you have the actual job in front of you. Otherwise we all start speculating on the many and varied options that may, or may not, apply.

Oh okay, thank you. I'm just trying to find a mat as cheap as possible.

Thanks.
