Hello and welcome Alan,
Portadyne around the late '40s made quite a few radiograms and radios using very similar and fairly basic chassis, but there's not much information to be had on any of them. It looks as though yours is much the same or exactly the same as the CG68, but we drew a blank there a couple of years ago: https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/....php?p=1392638 Paul |

Hi. That looks the same as one I have. I couldn't locate a circuit either. I have lots of photos of mine taken during restoration if there of any use to you. Colin
I just noticed the link above was to a post I made. Last edited by vintage_8bit; 26th Sep 2023 at 1:36 pm. Reason: Link just noticed in earlier thread. |

Congratulations on this beautiful Portadyne Alan, unfortunately there is little information available about the Portadyne brand and associated diagrams. I have noticed that there are many similarities in the schematics of various Portadyne pre-war types. Fortunately, they are fairly simple and simply put together radios. In the Portadyne A52 that I am restoring (also without diagram), I have replaced all Sator capacitors and the electrolytic capacitors on the deck. Good luck with this project.
Greetings Wijnand. |
