I went to an auction in the 1990's for a bookcase and came back with this instead. It's a 70's Sanyo hi-fi system comprising of an amplifier, radio, tape deck, record player and two speakers.
The Amp is a DCA 30, the radio a FMT 30L and the tape deck a RD30. The record player is TP 1010. The speakers don't say! It's been in my garage for a number of years but I'm clearing out so it has to go. It was working when I got it but you will have to assume that it will need some TLC - I switched on the amplifier and it lit up and worked but was a bit crackly, the record player didn't. I didn't have any tapes to try the tape player. Free to collect from Cheshire. I would post but it's a big old system so I suspect it would be very expensive. Please don't expect perfection, it's been stood in a corner of my garage for 15 years. I'd tip it, but it seems like such a shame. |

I should add however that I have already been fortunate enough to be gifted a video recorder from this site recently, and so in the interest of fairness - if any other forum members express an interest in this item please put their request above mine!

Sanyo HiFi from the 70s and 80s has a rather downmarket image, but is underrated. This system will be capable of very good performance when fully working, especially with some better speakers. It looks good too.

Hi All,
I'm afraid Luke has already come an collected this today. He was a very nice guy and I have high hopes that he will be able to restore it to the condition it deserves. Thanks to everyone for the interest. |

I just wanted to keep it alive, I have too much hi-fi but it would have been criminal for it to go to landfill. Thanks to Luke for saving it. |
