A colleague gave me this deck earlier this week - the alternative was that it would be taken to the dump! I don't have a use for it, since it's a fairly basic early-90s deck (I have a better one in my HiFi) but I thought perhaps someone here might want it.

I've briefly tested it and it can play a tape fine, but fast-forward and rewind don't work. I suspect it's belts. The tape counter works, though!

I haven't tried record. There's also a (to my ear) a louder than usual hum coming from the unit when it's powered on. The hum isn't in the resulting audio, but it is noticeable.

It's free! You can either collect from Edinburgh, or (more likely) I can send it to you. I haven't found a suitable box yet, but I suspect the courier cost will be around £7. I'm away much of October, so I'd hope to get it sent off by then (otherwise there'd be a delay).
