So as per Post 6 the EM84 should mean that the A41 schematic is the most suitable schematic.

When fixed this will sound very good, especially when played back through a Hi Fi system. The circuit is optimised with the correct EQ for its single speed.

Still trying to get this fixed. Had the all clear from my surgeon so have 4 weeks left of my rehabilitation before I go back to work.
Metered out across the coil, no short detected there and the erase head.
