Hawkins Classic 500 teasmade in need of tlc
Hi all,
I have just bought a lovly old Hawkins Classic LGH 500 teasmade, sadly I am struggling to get the kettle boiling. The clock keeps good time and appears to be working well. I am not sure where to start with this one. If the element is faulty it will be a nightmare to replace. Any advice or tips appreciated. |

Re: Hawkins Classic 500 teasmade in need of tlc
Hello and welcome to the forums.
This post shows how to test a kettle element. It requires a test meter though. The two thinner pins connect to the element and the larger pin is the earth connection. https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?t=115906

Thank you Station X for the tips. Is there anyone out there who knows of someone able to take a look at it to trouble shoot? Really want to get it up and running.

I would suggest you post a request for help in the Repair and Restoration Services Wanted section.
