Mark Forums Read
Someone at the NVCF asked if I could add "Mark Forums Read" to the top menu bar as it is difficult to access in "Quick Links" on mobile devices. This is now done.

Re: Mark Forums Read
I wasn't that person, but thank you - it is certainly a function I use every time I look at the forum(s) after looking at those threads I consider of interest, so this will save me having to go into "Quick Links" and selecting it from there each time.

Re: Mark Forums Read
Unfortunately it is now very easy to click on this link unintentionally, especially as it is adjacent to the New Posts link. (Guess how I know that?) There is no confirmation prompt. I will be more careful in future, but I can see this causing more problems than it solves.

The revised location is an improvement.

Re: Mark Forums Read
Can you post a screenshot if it looks odd for you Mike? What browser are you using?
Attached is how it looks for me with Firefox. |

Re: Mark Forums Read
It was my suggestion and it's a great improvement.
Well done Paul. |

Re: Mark Forums Read
I had not noticed the change until I saw this thread and it seems I never ever do anything from the top bar - even for search there is a separate box and why would you ever want to log out... As long as you keep the existing one at the bottom I am happy.

Re: Mark Forums Read
I have added a confirmation on the "Mark Forums Read" on the top bar now, to reduce the risk of doing so accidentally.

Re: Mark Forums Read
Ugh. It is actually less likely to be done accidentally than it was as a drop-down.

Re: Mark Forums Read
OK, since every variation of this attempt to help has upset someone, I have put it back as it was originally - just in the Quick Links dropdown. I can't be bothered to waste any more time with it.
