Default Re: Early op amps 741 etc

Thank you Mark for your grounded and worldly-wise comments!
My research is largely driven by the need on a personal level to create recorded music of the highest quality to me.
I am building new equipment ,due to the cost of ready made new or vintage equipment.
It also gives a greater sense of pride and personal achievement to me.
All will based be based on solid engineering ,but with a little bit of artistic creative input as well.I am also an artist ,sculptor and musician .
All engineers are creative anyway.
My marketing will be indirect as people will experience my products in the recording I will make.
I will be using an analogue 2" 16 track machine from 1970 .
I just like the sound it makes.
If anyone is interested in the output of the studio ,we will have to see.
Some may not agree with my philosophies ,but that is ok as well.
We all arrive at this point in time by different paths.
All the best
Gill
